If you are a musician, singer, DJ, impersonator, guitarist, member of a mariachi band, wedding band, photographer or you dedicate yourself to offering some service for private parties and weddings, this will interest you, read the text until the end, you will not waste time in vain, it is a gift for you. 

I have recently carried out some research regarding our market, I have obtained very valuable knowledge and discovered very important information for the entire community in this field of work, that is why I feel the need to share it with you, for professional ethics and because it is something that concerns us all. 

Most of us are using and hiring intermediary companies to get clients, at first glance, this might seem like a very good thing, but let me open your eyes and then you will make your decision. The first question you have to ask yourself is; How do you think those companies get clients for you? Do you think they go from door to door, from event hall to hall? Do you think they have great connections with other companies that are also dedicated to parties and share customers? That is what some companies affirm, well no, because they are competition, they all cover as much as they can in terms of party services, they do not share anything between them. Telephone marketing? That is no longer used, email marketing? Yes, but it's not really that effective and I'll address that point in a moment so as not to stray from the central question. 

The answer is: in the same way that we do when we need a service or buy something: "GOOGLE", land where these companies rule, there is no colleague that can individually and independently compete with one of these companies in terms of the appearance of ads, see for yourself, check in google and you will realize that all the first positions are these companies, and the artists that manage to appear to compete with them, it is because we are paying directly in google, which is a very expensive service for what it offers, your budget is consumed like water. In other words, when a person searches Google for one of our services, these companies take advantage of their preponderance on the Internet and intercept it, if they were not as intermediaries, the client would contact us directly, therefore, they are not adding any extra value to our work, they are only positioning themselves as intermediaries to take away our clients, charge us for them in each reservation and also pay for memberships so expensive that some exceed $1,000 dollars per month, and all without doing anything, because ultimately the clients come from Google, it is not magic, those companies they do not look for them, nor do they get new clients for us, it is the client who looks for us on the internet. They are like parasites sucking everything and they have acquired a lot of power over us. For example, another of the things that I discovered is that they segment the clients, that is, they decide to whom they give or not a reservation request, and now I will return to the previous point that I left pending. Those clients intercepted by the websites of these companies, when requesting a service, necessarily have to register their email, which they will use to later send them advertising, from a client who arrived thanks to us and that they keep valuable information and this power gives them the facility to decide what publicity or who exclusively to send them, even if that client has booked you in the past and for that reason they subscribed to the site, incredibly the company is capable of not sending them your promotion, but the one of other services, or others that do the same as you, leaving you out of the game without you noticing, but that's the least of it, it has the power to select the clients with the most budget before the reservation request arrives, If there is any cancellation, they can take your money regardless of the fact that they established policies with some rules, and even without notifying you, your opinion does not matter to them, they do what they want as if they were our bosses and we are their employees, the configurations, the guidelines, the reservation payment policies, we have to abide by everything according to their decision, as I said, they decide who they give it to and who they don't. 

Now I will teach you the magician's trick. The positioning of these companies is usually organic, although some also pay on Google, but even if you spend hundreds of dollars on Google, you will hardly be able to compete on par or hold your budget for a long time. First of all, obviously they have network experts working in the offices, but even so, it is not what really determines that overwhelming preponderance, it is us, not the clients, we are the service providers, let me explain. One of the main factors that Google uses to place you in the first places is the traffic that your website generates, and in these companies the majority of traffic is not generated by customers who seek the service, but by each one of us who is registered in the websites of these companies, every time you enter to configure something, every review you make, every change, and also the time you stay on their website counts a lot, sometimes they even stay logged in for days, with the account open on the website. That is why these companies send their suppliers a daily quota of false quote requests, so that you enter the account and generate that daily traffic on their website, in this way we feed the monster with which it is impossible to compete, and some of them without spending a dollar on google or advertising. I am not advertising Google either, but at least it is more direct, my purpose is not for you to spend your money on expensive Google, if you can and want to do it well, but it is not my intention, I do not recommend it either, I have had to do it because these companies have led me to that, my purpose is that we do not spend anything, that everything is organic, there is work for everyone and without intermediaries it is well paid, with equal opportunities for all, without segmenting, but never one of us goes alone to achieve that preponderance, because there are many of us who are registered on all those websites marking traffic, and I have even seen links or apps from these companies installed on the websites of some colleagues, thus providing them with even more traffic, because that is why they do it, let's open the eyes. My proposal is simple, let's stop feeding these parasites, everything they supposedly do for us, each one of you can do, open your own website, collect payments, promotion, etc., they do not contribute absolutely anything and they are taking most of the profits, because their real clients are us, because even if you don't get any reservations, it doesn't matter to them, they will charge you their monthly fee anyway, something that most of our potential clients are unaware of. . For these companies there are no low seasons because they always win, they have different membership costs in order to segment the best clients to those who pay the most, clients for whom you should not pay, remember! obtained from the google search engine. And in addition to the membership, they charge you for each reservation, and the client as well, so the client does not realize that there is an overprice, because they only see the small fee for the reservation, but they do not know everything we have to pay by paying them to these companies to make our work self-sustaining, because if we don't register with them, we don't exist on the net, while they are in their offices making money every morning very comfortable drinking coffee and donuts while laughingly talking about the new tactics to get more money out of us, if they got the clients from somewhere other than google search, they would still have even a little bit of dignity and value for said work, but no, they are just hindering our growth.

I invite the entire community of party service providers to unsubscribe from these websites, delete their profiles from there, or if the membership is already paid, stay but only until your next payment, don't give them a dollar more, In the meantime, answer the requests but then log off and close the websites so that they don't have traffic time, be independent, with their own websites, the clients will continue to be there, don't be afraid, and in some seasons there will be a lot of work and in others not, but There is work for everyone, I do not consider myself a competitor to any of you, because we can perfectly share the same cake, I come from a very simple family of musicians, I know what it is to go from restaurant to restaurant playing for tips, my grandfather did it even in passenger trucks, each one of us has his space, the only ones that have no place are these companies. Copy and paste this message on your website and on all your social networks, let's spread the message so that other colleagues in the media can find out.
